Winter breaks and Christmas celebrations

Who isn’t keen on a warm winter break at the end of the year? My husband and I went on a cruise around the Canary Islands in November and enjoyed some lovely temperatures in the late 20’s centigrade. Travelling from Tenerife to Madeira, Fuerteventura, La Palma, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and back to Tenerife again. Below are just a few of the wonderful things we saw.

As you can see, everything from banana plants, lemon trees and orchids, to beautiful beaches, exotic markets with the national dress of Madeira, finishing with the amazing hot geysers of Lanzarote. A real smorgasbord of experiences displaying both natural and manmade splendours.

We even had time on our tour to visit a Christmas shop in Tenerife to get into the celebrations of the season abroad.

This was followed on our return by an early family Christmas before our boys and their families also went abroad for their celebrations – one family to the US, one to Portugal.

All that remains is for me to wish you all the blessings of the season as you celebrate our Saviour’s birthday and anticipate a new year in 2024 with all its hopes and expectations.
