The new Christian film for Easter, King of Kings, is a delight. The story is told as a bedtime story by Charles Dickens to his son. Not sure why it’s Charles Dickens and not a more modern person or writer but the story works well told from the viewpoint of a 7/8 year-old child, who is part of the key moments of Jesus’ life. The company, KOVA International not only gave me an interview with one of the top voice over actors in Hollywood, James Arnold Taylor, but also five free viewings of the film. This was great as otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to view it, the nearest cinema to here being Bristol, which is a great shame.
James Arnold Taylor may not be a household name, but he is a strong Christian and an absolute pleasure to interview. The voice of Obi-Wan-Kenobi in all of the five Star Wars films, he has also been the voice of Huckleberry Hound and sounded exactly like Fred Flinstone among many other animation voices and impressions he does. It is opportunities like this, that come along but rarely, that make me love the job I do as a writer. People in all walks of life are so fascinating. If you want to read the interview it will certainly be in the Good News newspaper soon and possibly in other places too.
