Morgan Factory Visit

As an early birthday present, my husband and I recently visited the Morgan Factory in Malvern, Worcestershire, a short trip from our home. Although it was his treat, as a bit of a ‘petrol head’ myself and lover of F1, I greatly enjoyed the visit too. In fact, I asked more questions of the tour guide than most.

You can choose a car in any colour you wish and that goes for the upholstery and the dashboard spec etc too. Of course, each choice comes with extra cost but it was nice to dream…

Here are a few of my favourites below.

This was Mrs Morgan’s own motor

And what a lovely choice Mrs Morgan!

It was very interesting too to be shown the different stages in hand building a Morgan car. All cars are built to the customer’s specific requirements.

From the ash and aluminium bodywork – this aluminium bonnet (below) wasn’t that heavy, surprisingly, but nevertheless quite strong.

To choosing the seat colours…

You can end up with exactly what you dream of, for a price. What about this creamy lovely car below for example?

Perfect! Ah well, at around £100,000 on the road + a few extras, I guess I might just have to dream on. Still it was great to see these Morgans in all their splendour. A little more individualistic than the average car.

  1. Not sure I’ve ever seen a Morgan before this, they have sweet lines.
