Last Saturday, 22 November, saw our choir, The Tuesdays – a part of Louise Johnson’s Cheltenham Singing Groups – celebrate ten years since we were founded. I can hardly believe that I was one of the founder members too (the fourth person to join!) all those years ago.

Originally, I joined the soprano section (most of whom are in this image) but increasingly as I have got older, I have deferred to singing the tune more often with most of the choir. However, I still enjoy joining the soprano section for a few of the songs as I did last Saturday. This audio below is a snippet of me in the soprano group singing one of my favourite songs from the concert, Into the West from Lord of the Rings.
What a lovely venue and a very special evening! A very special thanks go to our teacher and conductor, Louise Johnson, for her patience in helping us to reach this standard.
After quite a difficult year this concert gave me a huge uplift and a sense of wellbeing, just being with others, united with the sole purposes of enjoying ourselves and entertaining others.
Singer, Jonathan Veira, also uses his voice to -“bless people..as long as I can.” Please see my article in this month’s Good News newspaper http://www.goodnews-paper.org.uk/page 2http://www.goodnews-paper.org.uk/page2
Christmas is a great season for raising a song to God. Let’s all sing out our songs and praises, we’ll feel better if we do.
