Like many, we have spent the last month as a family catching up with family and friends, some of those friends we hadn’t seen for three years or more! Covid has separated many of us for far too long. Therefore, this month, I thought that I might just share a few of those happy memories. Going places has also been something that we have begun again, such as the theatre at the start of the month for the premier of the Bake Off Musical – great fun, with the famous tent on stage at our local theatre.

And a local coach trip with a friend to see the real Downton Abbey, that is the say, the place where the popular TV series and couple of films actually took place – Highclere Castle, Newbury. A hot, sunny day which did not disappoint.

Later in August, at the Bank Holiday found us catching up with the family in London at Crystal Palace Park –

And no, the dinosaurs aren’t real….
We also had great fun travelling up the river at Tewkesbury on Bank Holiday Monday on our friend’s narrow boat where the rivers Severn and Avon meet. Our dog, Bella was also very relaxed about the experience.

All great experience but phew it will be great after all this activity, wonderful though it was, to actually take a relaxing holiday away, and yes, we can go abroad now with much more ease on our fourth cancelled holiday, happening soon. Watch this space for further details….
